100% yak wool trousers with two stylish, practical pockets. The loose cut with two pockets and waistband gives the trousers a jogging pant look despite the high waist. The wool feels pleasant and is naturally very warm.
My products are made in Mongolia. As Mongolian yaks live in mountainous regions, they have to cope with extreme weather conditions ranging from 30°C to -50°C. Therefore, yak wool is heat-retaining, temperature-regulating and breathable. The horned animals, weighing up to 500 kg, impress with their massive bodies and calm, social disposition. Approximately 300g of hair can be combed from one yak per year and processed into yak yarn. In addition, yak wool is a natural product that can be obtained in an environmentally friendly way and is 100% ecological.
Traditional herding in Mongolia does not require stable housing. The nomadic life is geared towards the herd animals and their well-being. The animals' wool is combed out by individual herders after winter and transported to weaving mills for further processing.
