Here you get a light yet warm sweater made from 100% yak wool. The color is a dream, natural and elegant. The slits on both sides give it an extra casual look. For example, if you wear size S, you can wear the sweater a bit more casually, which is why I entered size S/M in the item title.
My products are made in Mongolia. Since Mongolian yaks live in mountainous regions, they have to cope with extreme weather conditions ranging from 30°C to -50°C. Therefore, yak wool is heat-retaining, temperature-balancing, and breathable. The horned animals, weighing up to 500 kg, impress with their massive bodies and calm, social temperament. Approximately 300g of hair can be combed out of one yak per year and processed into yak yarn. Furthermore, yak wool is a natural product that can be obtained in an environmentally friendly way and is 100% ecological.
Traditional herding in Mongolia does not require stabling. The nomadic life is centered around the herd animals and their well-being. After winter, the animals' wool is combed out by individual herders and transported to weaving mills for further processing.
