Cashmere wool is naturally very soft and delicate. Of course, good care is essential, or rather, little care is desired.
If the wool starts to felt, you can brush it out wonderfully with a soft brush and it will look like new. You should avoid washing if possible and simply hang the garments in the fresh air. If you do wash them, prefer cold water with a mild shampoo or wool detergent. Cashmere wool has a natural self-cleaning function and keeps odors away. The greatest and best quality of natural wool is that it simply insulates body heat without making you sweat. Due to the lightness of the wool, you can do without heavy materials to keep warm on cold days.
Mongolia is an independent state, with the capital Ulaanbaatar, where weather conditions fluctuate greatly. In summer, 40°C is not uncommon, and in winter it can easily reach -40°C. Due to these large temperature differences, cashmere goats are particularly robust and adaptable, and their undercoat becomes especially soft. The traditional Mongolian herding, which represents a perfectly coordinated coexistence between herders and animals, ensures a nature-connected life for the animals. The cashmere wool (undercoat) is brushed out by the herders with coarse combs during the summer, and the animal experiences no pain during this process.
