Due to these large temperature differences, cashmere goats are particularly robust and adaptable, and their undercoat becomes exceptionally soft. Traditional Mongolian herding, which represents a perfectly coordinated coexistence between herders and animals, ensures a nature-oriented life for the animals. The cashmere wool (undercoat) is brushed out by the herders with coarse combs during the summer, without causing the animal any pain.
